Want to buy or sell a bike? Come to Belle Etoile’s annual used bicycle market, VeloOccasiouns-Maart!

There will be hundreds of bikes of all types, shapes, sizes and colours to choose from, at affordable prices.

The market will take place from Friday, March 14 to Saturday, March 22 in the underground parking garage (green) of the Belle Etoile shopping centre. If you’d like to sell a bike, bring it in on March 14 or 15.

€5 from the sale of each bike will go to Luxembourg Youth Red Cross.

While we are gearing up for the next BAFF Night at CarréRotondes, you are invited to take a look back at the first BAFF Night held on January 23, 2014. TRAFFO, where the movies were screened, was filled with an enthusiastic audience of cyclists and cycling supporters. We were delighted to see mountain bikers, fixed gear fans, long-distance cyclists and urban cyclists mingling under one roof and enjoying our film screenings, photo exhibition and DJ afterparty. The winners of our photo contest were also announced – see the Facebook post for a slideshow of the winning photos!

The BAFF Night series is a lead-up to the Luxembourg Bicycle Art and Film Festival (BAFF), which will be wheeled out this spring. Stay tuned for details about the programme, which will feature a variety of movies (short, feature-length, documentaries), exhibitions and outdoor activities.

How to enter
To enter the photo contest, send an email to baffluxembourg@gmail.com with the following information: your name, photo caption (title and brief description in LU/EN/DE/FR) and one photograph. Submission deadline is 14 January 2014, 11:59:00 p.m (CET).

By entering the photo contest, you acknowledge that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by you, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.

Judging
The jury consists of three members who will evaluate submitted photos in two rounds and will select winners by 20 January 2014. The judges will award three prizes (first, second and third) and up to five honorable mentions. Decisions of the judges are final and binding.

Data privacy
Entrants agree that their personal data, especially names, may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the contest and their photographs may be exhibited at EXIT07.

The organizers reserve the right to cancel the photo contest if the minimum of 10 participants is not reached.

You are invited to the first BAFF Night, a very special event that will take place at the always popular CarréRotondes (Exit07, Traffo). This night will give you a taste of the upcoming Luxembourg Bicycle Art and Film Festival, to be held for the first time in Spring 2014!
The evening will start with an exhibition of all of the photos from our photo contest “The Charm of Winter Cycling”, and the winners will be announced.
This will be followed by the screening of two extraordinary road cycling movies, Cycle Me Home and Feel Free.
To finish the night, you are invited to stay for a relaxed after party with a great DJ set from Makz Stanley.
